This Privacy Policy describes how NewGenWorks ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Dots & Boxes mobile application ("App").

1. Information We Collect

a) Information you provide

Google Sign-In: If you sign in with Google, we collect your name, email address, and profile picture to create your game account.
Guest login: If you play as a guest, only a temporary username is stored locally on your device.

b) Information collected automatically

Game data: Game history, scores, and leaderboard rankings are stored on our servers.
Device token: A Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token is collected to send game notifications such as challenge requests and rematch alerts.
Crash reports: Firebase Crashlytics automatically collects crash logs and device information (device model, OS version, app version) to help us fix bugs.
Advertising ID: Google AdMob may collect your device's Advertising ID to serve personalised or non-personalised ads within the App.

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your game account
To display your scores on leaderboards and game history
To send push notifications for game events (challenges, rematches, friend activity)
To diagnose crashes and improve app stability
To display advertisements via Google AdMob

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

Google Sign-In – Google Privacy Policy

4. Data Retention

Game data and account information are retained as long as your account is active. Guest accounts with no activity are automatically deleted after 30 days. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

5. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including HTTPS encryption for all API communications and JWT-based authentication. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. You can also revoke Google Sign-In access from your Google Account settings at any time.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
